Ingredient substitutions
No exact bottle on the shelf? These swaps keep San Francisco close to the original.
Instead of Banana Liqueur
- Galliano— vanilla-anise instead of banana
Instead of Vodka
- Gin— adds botanical notes
- White Rum— a touch sweeter
Instead of Orange Juice
- Pineapple Juice— more tropical
Instead of Grenadine
- Raspberry Syrup— berry-forward, same blush
Instructions
Take a tall glass and put in a few ice cubes.
Fill the vodka over it and fill with juice then the "creme".
To end fill in the grenadine but very carefully at the side of the glass so it will lay down in the bottom.
Garnish with orange and strawberry.
Pairs well with

- Sourdough with whipped butter
- Fruit skewers
- White chocolate pretzels
- Citrus madeleines
